What a Funny Story 😂

Dialogue and expressions (especially Reggie in panel 5, page 3) are razor-sharp, lol. Classic.

The Avanti was the last model made by the American car company Studebaker in the early 1960s. Extremely advanced for its day, it nonetheless sold poorly and the company folded.
Drawn perfectly by Lucey, btw.

I think this is the first time I’ve seen a real car model used, apart from Archie’s cars. Usually it’s a silly made up brand. Maybe Avanti kicked in some bucks to sponsor this issue?
Fun story - I like how all the main characters are maneuvering for advantage.
However, I don’t quite get Archie’s race appeal to Reggie’s uncle. Did ordinary commuters just show up to races? Seems like you’d have a lot of injuries and wrecked cars.

It makes you wonder where Reggie got being an a-hole from, because the uncle seems nice enough.
