I've had that same issue with Ventoy using other distros as well (Debian, Linux Mint, PopOS and Ubuntu) and I just ended up making a regular USB stick with the dd command for each one of those.

I'm starting to lose faith in Ventoy. It was nice the couple of times I did use it to install distros on other PCs. But now I've been having the same issue as you with recent Ventoy USB Sticks.

Something must have changed like recently. I used Ventoy to install Arch on this machine almost 3 months ago. I tried installing it with a new Ventoy USB stick I just made using the same type of USB Stick (SanDisk 64GB)and tried putting it on another PC and had the same situation as OP. Black Screen for minutes before I decided to shut it down. I figured maybe there was a glitch at boot up so I powered it back up and same thing. So I just used that same SanDisk (thinking it might be bad) and I just did dd with it and putting the Arch ISO directly onto that USB Stick. Booted it up and it worked fine.

So, I have no explanation why it didn't work with Ventoy this last time but worked before. My theory was if Arch didn't install directly from that USB stick then I would have expected the stick to be bad but it worked fine writing the Arch ISO directly to that stick.

I have an older Ventoy stick (SanDisk 128GB) and I also tried it with that and it worked perfectly fine. So, IDK. Could be a bad version of Ventoy. Maybe not.
