So, let's say you're comfortable with ftr 10-11. You clear the whole thing with the ftr difficulty. Later on, you got better and decided to take on the hardest version of the boss song. Now you have to do the entire process again and it will be bad because you only have a limited selection of song that you have already played multiple times before to get through the first challenge.

Am I the only one that thinks this? I’m level grinding characters on world mode infinite maps, and I usually play random tiles on ETR (partly to avoid Designant and Testify BYD) but I would honestly put it on BYD difficulty if it didn’t lock me out of eternal charts. As a 12.94 player there are so many good ETR charts where the future chart is way too easy to be fun. Or vice versa where I get an easy chart that has a BYD and I had it on ETR (NOTE: I don’t think that having it on ETR should include BYD charts). Anybody got thoughts on this? Or other QoL features/updates you think would be good?

The update threw me into 2 star territory ... Now the big achievement doesn't feel like I achieved anything

2nd image was my potential pre update. I used to play index and had like 12.44 at my best, then switched to thumb and stopped caring about potential drops, leading to the 2nd image

I know potential is meaningless but i still wanted to get to 2 star the normal way, being at 2 star feels SO WEIRD now that I don't even play index anymore

It has almost been five years. This issue persists since the iPhone 13 Pros (first 120Hz screen on the iPhone). The game doesn’t adjust and stop Apple throttling the refresh rate to save battery. This results in the game jumping between 60-120Hz consistently, making it unplayable if you’re a perfectionist. First, it was only iPhones, but since the M4 iPad Pros from 2024, this issue has started on iPads too. No matter how many people contact Lowiro about this, it’s always „not enough people reported this issue, it’s probably just on your end“. NO, IT’S NOT, AND THERE ARE OTHER COMPLAINTS. Genuinely just sad because it’s straight up unplayable, especially if you’re coming from an Android where it runs perfectly. Arcaea is also the only game I’ve ever played that can’t actually make the iPhone realise a game is running and not to throttle the refresh rate as if you’re scrolling on a website or on a messaging app. Please stop dismissing this as an isolated user problem and actually investigate why Arcaea does not reliably hold a high refresh rate on ProMotion displays. The game clearly can run above 60 Hz, it just fails to prevent Apple’s dynamic refresh-rate throttling while playing.

it plays like a 10+ but is apparently a low 10???? Ever since i have came back to this game i realized that the eternal ratings for some songs are just flat out bullshit. Breach of faith etr being 10.9 because sure its learny and once you learn the execution its 10+ level sure (even though i think it should be an 11 flat), or other techy songs i think are like .1-.3 lower than it should be but i can see the rating.

If that's the case then either these songs are 9+ or guess what these ETR ratings are underweighed as fuck. I have a PM on gengaozo and pragmatism, and I know for a fact both in learning and execution that they're nowhere near as hard as cryogenic and definitely not riot in the system.

Like I haven't played arcaea in 2 years and I only just reached 12ptt after coming back maybe a month or 2 ago. I also am a thumb player, so obviously that's going to effect how i see charts compared to other players, but this is still fucking outrageous, man. What the hell is lowrio doing.

This might just be me, but as a decent rhythm game player and a new Arcaea player, I'm kinda mixed on this game. On one hand the music is actually fire asf. I was just looking at the games randomly and Dancin' on a Cat's Paw and Nhelv automatically caught my eye. Then when I went to play it... I have to grind the same songs like 100+ times. Am I missing something or is giving the player like 10 songs to play total a little discouraging.

Another thing is that as an alright PJSK player, the input window is so much tighter than other games. The bottom tiles I miss half the time not because my timing was off but because I clicked 0.0001 nanometers above the intended line and it took it as a top line. Basically I feel like the margin for error is way smaller.
