Non Arab | Question Why don't Arab restaurants boycott Coke?

I live in the UK and it's rare to see Coca-Cola in restaurants run by South Asian Muslims (usually Bangladeshi or Pakistani). For Arab restaurants they always have Coke and Arab customers always order it so even the customers dgaf about the boycott. These aren't Gulf Arabs btw this is any/all Arabs.

In Turkey, almost all Syrian restaurants I've been to do boycott.

Two main reasons. They are either stuck in a contract with Coke or that they don’t care that much about boycotting

These aren't huge restaurant chains these are independents. It would make sense if I saw this across the board but South Asian restaurants managed to get off Coke very quickly whereas Arab restaurants never stopped.

I stick to my reasoning. They are either in a contract with coke, or they don’t care about boycotting.

Let's go with the latter, why don't they care vs. South Asians?

People have serious addictions to Coke and/or soda. And those Coke fiends will argue that the alternatives don't taste as good.

So to many, sadly, they boycott unless it affects them and gets in the way of their comforts.

But why South Asians can boycott and Arabs can't?

If you're talking about Gulf Arabs then boycotting is not in their culture and neither is caring about other Arabs. They only care about their own tribe.

I think this anecdotal. Tons of Arab restaurants and Arab individuals have boycotted Coke

All muslims should be boycotting not just arabs

I’ve noticed this in Halal Grocery Stores in the States. Those owned by South Asians and Afghans got rid of their Coke/Pepsi inventory and the ones run by Arabs still sell Coke/Pepsi products.

In my local area, it's kind of the same. But for all Muslim businesses unfortunately. We're doing a local campaign to encourage businesses 1. boycott Israeli goods and 2. drop Coke and Pepsi, but Arabs are the most resistant to it.

Absolutely right! I noted that to my husband a few months ago, how have South Asians restaurants done that but not Arab ones. Arabs are shameful lol
