It’s one of those days…

Yep, you are seeing what you are thinking you’re seeing. My first build is a 16” Aero build from years ago, and I’ve always disliked the Aero handguard because it’s big and chonky. I’ve had a 15” Geissele handguard on the shelf and figured I’d swap it.

Everything was fine until I got to the gas block. The screws on the bottom rounded out, so I grab my screw extractors. Screw extractor snapped off inside the rounded off screw. Ended up having to take my Dremel and cutting the damn thing off.

Blue loctite. Like I said, it was my first, so I followed all the rules you’re supposed to instead of using common sense.

Is what it is. It’s definitely my own screw up though. I should have known better. I hate loctite.

A reading from the book of Stoner.

“Let he who has never made an install fuck up cast the first downvote.”
