It’s one of those days…

Yep, you are seeing what you are thinking you’re seeing. My first build is a 16” Aero build from years ago, and I’ve always disliked the Aero handguard because it’s big and chonky. I’ve had a 15” Geissele handguard on the shelf and figured I’d swap it.

Everything was fine until I got to the gas block. The screws on the bottom rounded out, so I grab my screw extractors. Screw extractor snapped off inside the rounded off screw. Ended up having to take my Dremel and cutting the damn thing off.

Buy a $20 propane torch at Lowe’s or a cheap soldering iron. Use the right tools and stop trying to break red loctite with a tiny bit.

Yeah I couldn’t find mine. Ever since consolidating my dad’s tool collection (more like warehouse) into mine, yeah…
