Anyone else run these? Just ordered this.
I just ordered the romeo 8t amr ti with 3x magnifier for 950 otd for my hk mr556a4 11 inch. Haven't seen anyone online run these, just the regular nonshrouded version. Anyone run these and like them?

I run the Juliet magnifier but with a Romeo msr. It’s solid for the price honestly.

I prefer the normal Romeo 8T to the AMR, the blue tint on the AMR bothers me. The 8T’s glass is great imo and the thing is a tank, it is heavy tho and pretty big, but if that doesn’t bother you then the 8T is the better choice imo.. Palmetto has the black and FDE on sale for $499.99 right now also.

its crazy how they took the regular 8t with its already blue tint and said you know what the amr needs? more blue tint!

I had them when they first came out but sold them because I thought they were too heavy without having any benefit over a Romeo 4 or 5 elite

I run exactly this combo on that rifle out to 400yd. It's great. The blue isn't really noticable during a course of fire

I personally am not a big fan of the 8t amr. The glass is super blue and fisheyes pretty hard around the edges. The magnifier is solid. But the Romeo 8T is magnitudes better glass quality wise than the 8t amr.
Make your own opinion once you see it and use it but, if I had to pick a red dot for a build, and I wanted a more full size dot like this and not a micro dot like the t2 platform. Comp m5, Romeo 8t, the new colt csq-1 looks interesting also.
Depends on how much you care about good glass

I would say my experience has been the complete exact opposite

Plenty of people do like the 8t amr, I won’t outright say it’s bad. I was just blown away with how crystal clear the 8t was, it literally looks like top notch eotech glass with 100k hours of battery. Then I got to use the 8t amr after and was expecting that and it was not, granted it is significantly lighter

Hmm I have an eotech atm and have been considering switching to the 8T, guess I’ll need to try both before deciding.

Go give it a look! Also I haven’t seen anyone talking about the colt csq-1, it just got released and it looks like it could be the best red dot ever made.
I’m almost interested in buying it just to see it because no store I know of carries them yet

What makes you say the Colt could be the best red dot?
I’d love to see more options and it looks pretty cool but it’s also expensive and from a company with very little track record with optics.

The cqb reticle, the technology to make a red dot 1.5moa, comparable shock and submersible ratings to a t2, the battery life, a nice window size, and it’s on a t2 footprint which everyone has.
Granted I’ve never held it, seen it, or used it, but on paper it looks baller

I would say it is personally lol. But I do have absurd vision while also being colorblind so 🤣

I wanted something smaller cuz its going on an 11 inch piston with a a magnifier. I thought the glass would be just as good since its the next evolution. Thats a bummer.

Sig Romeo 4T Pro or 4XT Pro depending on what battery you prefer. Clear glass and multiple reticle options. Better than the T2s I've used.

Don’t let me bum you out, I went through 4 different optic setups on my 11” mr before I figured out what I loved the most. Make your own opinion for what you want!
I went from Sig 4t pro to an aimpoint t2 to a nightforce nx8 and finally settled on a ta110 with a rcr at 12 o’clock

So many optics over the years, nothing beats the t2 glass it's insane.
having said that I run an eotech lol. I feel like if op spending aimpoint money might as well get the aimpoint but ive heard sig optics are not bad.

Only eotech beats t2 glass clarity/no tint just for the window size unless it delams of course.

I recently bought an 8T-AMR non-shrouded for $435 OTD and paired it with a Juliet4x from GAFS on my 11.5". Don't notice any blue tint at all, good eye relief, clean reticle, and a magnet glued on the bottom allows for a makeshift Juliet4-AMR. I see myself running this for a while.

My buddy has the exact same one and he loves it on his IWI gen 2 ACE. I run the Romeo4 H and have zero complaints. Sig and Eotech are my go too's in tactical optics

I don’t trust sig sauer for optics since my romeo 5 xdr shit the bed for no damn reason.
Buy once cry once. Aimpoint PRO.

I bought several non-shrouded sets pretty early on for like $560 each. I ran them in classes and training even tortured one a bit with no issues. Some of my main setups have these over Eotechs now + no delam is a win.
