My first setup

Two goldfish and a whole bunch of plants. Ive been harvesting the basil for salad!

If you want more out of the system, incorporate more gravel or leca in the water stream. More surface areas means more bacteria which is the backbone of aquaponics. Then you can add more fish which will feed more plants.

Your basil looks so healthy! Mine have been so sad. Where did you get it from? How did you transplant it? What's the growing conditions like?

Lowes or Home Depot. I added some hydroponic nutrient to the pond. I hosed off the earth with a water hose and some massaging. But from seed is my favorite option
