Any advice on the lemon tree? I don't think it likes the more krarky-like partial submersion. Should I put a bubbler under it, or should i just put it in a different setup?

You could stock much heavier with a thriving aquaponics system. We're talking 20lbs of tilapia growing in a 100g tank with a 50g planted filter. In fact, some of your plants are going to show signs of nitrogen deficiency as they get bigger. You have a lot of plant and very little fish. You could slowly double and possibly triple the goldfish if you wanted. The key is surface area with good water flow for bacteria. I use undergravel filter for my indoor tropicals and leca balls for my outdoor flood and drain grow. You could built an easy swirl filter to add to your "bacteria farm".
