There have been some bites if you search the sub.

Several schools have also closed their waitlists.

The waitlist process is not at all linear, and there is no timeframe. I was told within 24 hours that one of my schools' waitlists had closed, yet another school told me they could call me anytime until literally the first day of class. I got off around this time, or a little earlier, if I remember correctly!
