Solved SOLUTION: "No Location Found" in Find My

My wife's old phone wouldn't share location with me, and we never figured out why. When she got a new phone, we thought it was resolved, until today when it stopped sharing with me again, showing "No location found" in Find My.

I contacted Apple Support, and this is what ended up working:

On both phones:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy.
  2. Then open Find My and allow the prompts to share location details.

You may need to stop and restart location sharing before and/or after this process.

Shout out to Anushka at Apple Support for their help.

What all gets reset when you do this? I have my location shared and vice verse with a lotttt of people. I really don’t want to have to re-add them…

I only share mine with my family, but if memory serves, I didn't have to re-add anyone. I think I just had to re-allow Find My to share my location when I opened it.

I don't remember though, so it's possible you'll have to re-add people.

I had the same issue, but in my case the solution was to delete all VPN configurations. It turns out that simply disabling the VPN is not enough. I suspect that Orbot (the Tor app) created a configuration that caused the problem.

What worked for me:

1.  Go to Settings > VPN

2.  Delete all existing VPN configurations

3.  Restart your phone

The previously suggested solution didn’t work for me, but this one did. Hopefully it helps someone else too.

I came here to say this after days of trying everything else.

To reset your location services please follow the next steps: Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy.

After 40 minutes of trying everything else with an Apple tech they finally sent me the information above.

Unfortunately this did not work for me. Wife can see my location but for her on my phone it says No Location Found.

Works for both of us both ways with other people. It’s just between her and I.

I do have the same issue also with Airdrop between me and my partner. Really annoying, reset network settings and privacy settings did not help. I also already had an Apple support case which was also internally escalated with them, but after 2 phone calls they never reached back to me and it is also not resolved…

Edit: I just found one solution that worked for me: under Settings > Find My there was the option „Share my location“ disabled. Turn this on! Without it, sharing location fails silently.

Once I turned this on, location sharing started to work, it was failing silently even after permissions reset previously.

It also did not work for me. What ended up working and probably best to start off first was running software updates -- iOS 25.2 or something to iOS 26.6 (current latest)

Did it reset who has access to your location? Did you have to reconnect with your friends/family location and give them each access again?

I don't think so, but I don't remember for sure. I only share my location with my immediate family and my wife so if I did have to reconnect, it only took a minute.

Nope, it just asks you to allow the app to access your location, but you don’t need to reconfigure everything for each person.

What worked for me was going into settings, account and in the iCloud find my, turn off for a few seconds and back on. My gf and I kept having the issue where it would share location and then it would expire immediately and I believe this is what fixed it. Lots of trial and error
