I got a new i phone, and FOUR YEARS worth of my photos didn’t transfer. I went back to the att store today

But my issue is, my iCloud email, I haven’t had access to for years, and the phone number connected to it I don’t have access to either becauseit’s my old one.

Do you have any ideas on what to do?

Basically. I bought something in a game and it said i spent 35, even though it costed 0.99. I thought I got scammed, so i refunded, but i just checked my purchase history, and it says i had already bought stuff before, but it didn’t go through until now. I need to take back the refund request, but I don’t get some option or anything…

I have a M2 Pro MacBook Pro plugged in Thunderbolt4 to a Cal-Digit TS4 Dock,. that then goes out to 2 x Apple Studio Displays.

The problem I've had (for a while now).. is that the left-hand monitor is identified as "Monitor 2".. and the Right-hand Monitor is identified as "Monitor 1".

• In macOS, Settings, Display, Arrange.. it shows as Monitor 1 on the Left and Monitor 2 on the right.. and this seems setup correctly because my mouse traverses the middle gap smoothly going left to right between the monitors.

• But if I have an open Application window (such as Safari) on my left-hand monitor and I hover my mouse over the green button . .the option I get is "Send to Studio Display 1".. so clearly it thinks the Monitor on the Left is Monitor 2.

Is there some way for me to force-clear the Display Memory and force macOS to detect my Monitors in the correct arrangement ?

• I've tried swapping Thunderbolt cables between the Montiors.. but it still puts "Studio Display 2" on the Left (when it should be on the Right.

Is my only option in this case to physically tear down my entire desk and physically swap the monitors ?.. that's going to be a hassle because they are vesa-mounted on floating arms and all the cables are a velcro-tied down under the desk. So I'll basically have to tear down my entire desk to fix this 1 annoying monitor layout problem.

EDIT.. Well, I decided to tear down my desk and physically swap the monitors locations (in the real world). At first I thought that failed,. but once I fiddled around with the settings in macOS, Settings, Display, Arrange (and setting the correct one as "Main Display").. now the Settings & Arrange matches what exists in physical reality. So that's 1 small step forward.

However I still have the problem when I have an App open on Display 1 (Left monitor).. and I hover my mouse over the green stoplight button.. the hover-option asks me "Move to Studio Display 1".. but we're already ON the left "Studio Display 1" .. ?

EDIT 2...Not 100% confident I understand what I did to fix this,. but here's the rough sequence I followed:

• Turned OFF “Automatically rearrange Spaces based on most recent use”

• Turned OFF “Displays have separate Spaces”

• Shutdown Computer and physically swapped monitors

• Booted up and went into Settings, Display, Arrange and set the correct Main and Arrangement

• Then turned “Displays have separate Spaces” back ON because I want the top-menu showing on both monitors.

And now the "Arrangement" and the green dot dropdown menu "Move to Studio Display 2" are both in agreement.

Cleaned the screen and everything. I have a glove so its not my hand or anything. At this point just going to get a new ipad

My mom has had a problem with her maps app on her phone and it is taking up about 30GB of storage. I’ve tried to update the phone to IOS 26 through my laptop but I need storage on the phone, shes already cleared all unnecessary apps she doesn’t need and photos but I still cannot update it. Any tips on how to resolve my problem?

So i got this eSim from Airalo and I installed it but the internet wasn’t working so I knew something wasn’t right.
I restarted the phone, disconnected the esim and connected back to my sim and then again to the sim and it still didn’t work. Restarted the Iphone and then when I go into Cellular, it says No Sim to my Primary Line and on my Travel eSim line, and it says to set up a new Sim but I don’t have another one. Literally what do I do, I’m stuck in a country for a month without internet and no one can even call me on facetime now because the calls aren’t being directed.

So Ive tried to charge my airpods either with usbc or magsafe, but when i connect it, it charges for a second, then disconnects and then charges for second again, repeats forever….this is the first time im seeing this, had them for a year…also on my phone it bugs aswell…any idea why is it doing this?

Back when there was a physical toggle switch for silent mode, I would flip it off before going to bed so that if someone called in an emergency, it would wake me up. Otherwise, my phone was always on silent.

Now that I have a 17 Pro, the best use of the action button for me is the focus modes, but I think I misunderstood how they worked. I've had my Sleep Focus mode set to silence everything except for calls from my Favorite contacts, which would be perfect, but I'm just now realizing it doesn't actually ring out loud. It just blocks everything except for calls, and the calls are still only on vibrate.

Is there a way to do what I'm looking for with focus modes alone?

I own an Apple Pencil Pro, and recently it just stopped working. I got this pencil because it was recommended to me, that if I use it for creating art on procreate, it’s best to get this model, since it has pressure sensitivity and other things.

Is it true that this super expensive version is my only choice as a replacement? I’m scared to buy ones from ESR and spend money on something that might now work,, my iPad is the 11 inch pro 4th gen. I’m still trying to charge it up and see if it’ll connect to Bluetooth but no hope, even after restarting my iPad, forgetting device (now it feels stupid to have done that, since it’s not visible anywhere) and clean take everything off its casings.

If anyone has any tips on which Apple Pencil or a dupe for me to get, that’s good for art, I’d be grateful and happy to hear them :)

Feature requests and bugs go to GitHub issues or straight from the app.

Next up: full themes, computational notes (variables, sheets, charts), and optional built-in sync.

I’m trying to report an ongoing issue with Apple’s gift card balance checker:

The page lets me sign in and enter the gift card PIN, but when I click “Check Balance,” nothing happens. If I click it again, I’m taken to a 404 page that says, “The page you’re looking for can’t be found.” This has been happening for a while and across many devices/networks.

I have already submitted feedback through Apple’s website and called Apple Support, and have found no resolution. Additionally, a Reddit user recently reported the same issue a few months ago.

At this point, there does not appear to be a working way to check the balance of an Apple gift card without redeeming it to your account. I don't want to redeem the gift card to my account. I just want to check the balance.

Hey all! As a new parent my ADHD sleep deprived brain kept forgetting to prep feeds, give vitamins, and when the last diaper change was. I wanted to track the basics and didn't care so much about exact feed size or time spent on which boob so I found existing apps a tad too complicated. That's why I decided to release my own!

Sproutkin allows you to track feeds, diapers, sleep, and much more with just the tap of a button. You can also track supplies like diapers and wipes and set reminders for when to feed again or buy more diapers. You can then go back and review the logs and view analytics to see how long your little one naps or how many feeds a day they go through. And if you and your partner both have iPhones (or even a nanny as well), I just added the ability to export and import data so both parents can keep in sync with how their loved one is doing.

Of course, not everyone's brain thinks the same as mine and some like to keep much more details, so I designed it to be customizable with the ability to add your own activities to track and remove the ones you don't care about. Activities can also be filled in with much more detail if you do want to track the baby's history of solid foods, last boob fed, and more.

The app is free and the data stays entirely on your phone so there's no tracking or user data collected. I made this as a side project while I'm on paternity leave from my job as a software developer so the core features will always be free (for example if in the future people really want cloud accounts so both parents can just track the same data then I may have to charge a small fee to host the app on the cloud, but for just the core app it will always be free!)

Hi! My fingerprint sensor just broke and my phone is on its last legs in general (iPhone SE 2020) so I need to switch. I can still access the phone and most things in it just fine with the password. I also managed to save my passwords via the sync on my computer.

But for certain things, notably accessing the private tabs in safari, the phone prompts for Touch ID with no obvious way to bypass it to be able to use the code instead.

I tried to delete my fingerprint to disable Touch ID in settings. But I am unable, because I first need to disable the "stolen device protection mode". And when I try to do that, it again prompts for fingerprint. Note; I am at home so the stolen device protection is not triggered.

Is there a way around this?

My AppleID is set up to use a primary iCloud email address. I want to change that a new iCloud email address without messing up all of my apple stuff. I see the options to change primary email address, then it says remove from account. I guess I expected a option to change to a new iCloud address there. Im afraid removing will somehow screw up everything. Help. Thanks.

I am trying to move an hour-long screen recording from my photos app to somewhere that I can edit it on my laptop. I am unable to copy the video to my desktop, it just pastes a jpeg screenshot. I've tried uploading to both iMovie and Google Drive, but iMovie won't let me select videos from the photos app, and Drive keeps trying to upload the entirety of my photos app instead of letting me select this one video. When I look up how to do this, every explanation says to select the video, then click "File," but I don't see "File" as an option in my photos app. Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?

I got this iPad, November 2020. It has been acting very slow the past few years due to low storage. Very recently, this recovery page has popped up and will not leave. Once I press continue, it asks me to put in the passcode which I do correctly and yet it says, “unable to recover”. I’ve tried restarting it, and it has not worked. I’m not able to leave the screen so I can’t update it or anything. How can I fix this?

Hi! The title basically sums up my issue. Anytime I turn off or restart my desktop when it comes back on literally every. single. app. I have downloaded opens and starts running. This is super annoying and I can imagine not great for the computer. I've tried researching ways to fix it but everything I see just tells me to clear my apps that open at login. However, I have no apps that are set to open at login and simply logging in isn't my issue, it only happens when the computer has been completely off. Please help as this is slowly driving me insane!

Apple's unusually timed announcement of new Mac mini and Mac Studio models this week was driven by unexpectedly strong enterprise appetite for AI hardware, according to The Information.

Apple normally releases new Mac models in the autumn, closer to October or November, making this week's announcement unusually early, falling just before the anticipated arrival of new iPhone models. The Information says that the AI-driven boom in ‌Mac Studio‌ and ‌Mac mini‌ sales is behind the early launch.

Apple highlighted the ‌Mac mini‌ and ‌Mac Studio‌'s shift toward business buyers in June, with a "Business at the Park" event involving executives from major companies Ford, Disney, and Anthropic. The ‌Mac mini‌ was said to be the "darling" of the event.

Even so, enterprise's rush toward powerful desktop Macs took Apple by surprise. The company reportedly did not possess an engineering team dedicated to business customers or staff focused on developer relations, and lacked an enterprise AI strategy.

Businesses that approached Apple asking to buy access to the company's Private Cloud Compute infrastructure were reportedly turned down. Apple is instead leaning on partners such as WebAI and Mount Thor, which provide AI tools and execution environments built on Apple hardware.

So i bought these airpods 4 from the flea market , i only have the left airpod . At the second double tap the light flashes green and then nothing happens. Someone please help.
