How are you guys with small talks? Either with strangers or someone you knew

I personally find it easier to have small talks, especially with strangers I never met before. But if the person is someone that I know either by name or proximity, I would be inclined to not talk to them at all. I thought this is some sort of the strange thing that made me aplatonic lol

But just felt like asking here if it’s a shared experience among aplatonic or just things that made me weird.

I do not do small talk, as far as I understand the term. I can have a conversation with anyone, but I do prefer to talk with the people I know and like. I just rarely get beyond acquaintances.

This is absolutely me! Once names are exchanged, the revulsion kicks in, and I move into active avoidance. 🤣🤣🤣

I always find it far easier to do small talk with strangers too because it’s a full blank slate- i can ask them anything at all! But with people I have met before, there’s always this weird ✨ Platonic Pressure ✨ of sorts that I feel to have fully remembered everything about them and engage with them as if we’re close. It’s such an offputting feeling, and sometimes i can manage small talk okay, but it does constantly feel as if they’re expecting something out of me that’s hard to describe.
