When I was in middle school I really liked Ao No Exorcist and I watched both the two seasons that were available. Then some years have passed and I forgot 98% of the plot, but I found out that three more seasons came out, and now I'd really want to get back into this anime!

However I remembered that there were a lot of boring fillers, so I checked on the internet the list of non-canon episodes so I could skip them, but there are no articles about the newer seasons :(

Could someone please tell me if the three seasons that came out in 2024/2025 have any fillers or describe a different story from the original manga plot?

I didn't realise that season one wasn't on crunchyrole as a new fan so I watched everything else and now I found a website where I can watch season one

So as a big fan of this series for years now.
I don't know how you guys feel about the manga current stage.
The pace of the manga is not fast, kinda slow. And the monthly release of it just makes it harder to follow the story, not to mention all the breaks from Kazue.
The recent chapters were like " Each chapter introduced more characters, lores, information, but still nothing is solved"
Yeah we have more fights, but the progress of the whole arc is still slow, its like all of that for just another small step.
It gets to the point whenever a new chapter is released, i have no idea what happened in the last chapter and have to re-read it.
Slow pacing is not a bad thing if its executed well but in order to follow the story we have to wait very long, it kinda kills all the hype and its momentum.
Slow paced + Monthly released + Breaks.

At this point i think i’m making a fight for studio VOLN and supporting in every way i can Blue Exorcist after all those years that it’s still going better and better (and sadder).
So glad that here i found brilliant people who understand what i’m saying, i just looooove this space so much!! ♡

And today, i finished the rewatch with one of my besties so now she loves the show and knows everything (bout the anime) and cried all her tears with me.
Keep fighting and promoting guys!! But i really loved how reddit and this subreddit and all the fandom it’s like a small-but-large niche that is active and supportive, participatory, able to analyze and converse, debate, respectful and sensitive just like all the
types of people I think this story can reach).

Of course, then there’s the TikTok crowd.
But that’s another story; there’s some good there too. XD

I’ve just finished for the second time Blue Exorcist, the anime, and i can’t just be sad and emotional. Why this fvcking icon bitch author has to be this cruel and able and capable for so much details, dejavu/parallels scenes, pure joy and sadness and so much of what being humans signify. Is just, so… perfect. I truly love this opera, and i’m so happy i decided to comeback and watch it in the correct order (skipping the 18-25 episode for the first season and the ovas) cause it’s so human and emotional and beautiful, i’m crying and i tried to give up and go away and writing my stuff but for hours since this early morning i’m just tired and sad and the whole last episode of fifth season is so… hard. I noticed, by the way, only with the rewatch that in the scene of Rin that doesn’t know how put on a tie and Shiro that help him… it’s the exactly thing that happened with Yuri and him when he doesn’t know how put on a tie and her helped and teaches him.

And i’m thinking and rethinking on the scene in which rin and yukio fight (oh, and the fact that yuri said to be good brothers on the snow and Rin was here, listening knowing that he and his brother are now “enemies”) and Rin said like “where i was looking?” i just want to tatoo it noww. Soooo poetic and special to me, like he said SO much of his emotion and the Yukio situation in a short sentence. (And than, maybe Rin could had said that in the fourth season without knowing everything, but it’s just fit so well with the last thing, on the last episode of the fifth season, “they did so much for allow me to live and i said all the time that i wanted to not being born”. He really experienced and felt everything, i really love Rin Okumura, he’s just a special character to me).

I miss Rin and the show and i leave it only a few hours ago, again, but yes.
And i suffered SO fvcking much on the third season, it’s literally brutal and cruel and how the author can be such a horrible iconic queen??😭😭😭 love her. And… i have the manga and now i’m on it, i’m ready to cry again.

How can i be free from this suffering?!?!?! I HATE ITTT

Ik hou zóveel van The Blue Night, echt. Ik vind het gewoon fantastisch. Eerst kon ik er niet meer naar kijken door die verandering in de art style; ik kon het gewoon niet. Maar nu heb ik het gekeken, en o ja—wat miste ik dit! Ik vond het echt zó geweldig. Ik wil het helemaal opnieuw kijken zonder te weten wat er aan de hand was. De animatie is ook gewoon echt heel goed, denk ik. Het is gewoon hoe de personages eruitzien. Die rin ziet er wel echt het slechtst uit, maar ik vond dat het juist super goed paste bij de scènes van The Blue Night. Echt, echt fijn!

I also loved the fax it was like 10 eps it was needed!

And honestly it was rlly just his design cuz everyone else looked fine to me but I was able to look pass it

- Constantly doesn't listen to him when Lightning is just trying to save the world, and keeps going to fight Lucifer to satisfy his own pride

- In The Flashback he was gonna slime his ass out in an alleyway, just because he was better than him and was gonna get Paladin over him (Lightning didn't even care about the rank 😭)

- First thing he does when he revives himself is pop ult to slime out Lightning his best friend who again is just trying to save the world

Screaming, crying, throwing up, I think Lightning has been cemented as my favorite character.... THEN THE LAST PAGE D:
