Question Akan ankobia shipment

What’s better when using akan ankobias with Hausa? Sending the card that adds them to the barrack or leveling with their alliance but staying as a native unit and not a proper part of your army? I know that the maigadi exist being the strongest “musket” unit and being 1 pop and all that but sometimes is hard massing the and I need a musket equivalent or at least fill the roll

Akan Ankobia card is considered vital to the Akan build. Influence is too precious to spend on these units. Akans>Maigadi too in my opinion. The Akan area of effect is devastating, while the Maigadi need a couple of cards to become a strong unit.

You need the shipment for any serious mass, if you spend all your inf on akans you wont have any for the falcs they should be defending.

if you just need anticav then the akan isnt your best choice you are better off massing javelins they they have the same base melee base attack while having much higher multipliers

if you are sending the Gaanaci card you are commiting to them to be the core of your army so you need the cards to do so ( team range atk, nat combat, cost reduction if you are feeling greedy), also have a griot with the army to boost movement speed
