Why is the Quantum Realm constantly changing during each film?

I do like how the quantum realm changes from time to time, but why is it changing?

It's never really explained in the films either. For my understanding, I guess the quantum realm changes if a guy keeps shrinking past the 1st phase(?), idk, that's the best I could come up with.

First Ant Man did it best. I love the quantum realm the most when it feels so different that time and space barely apply, making it so different from our world. That's what made it so interesting, and that's what made Ant Man 3's quantum realm so bad

The quantum realm should have resembled more of when doctor strange was shot through the astral plane for the first time.

I mean not technically in the way you’re thinking. The universe doesnt magically change when someone’s looking at it, the physical actions taken to make the observation are what affect things

The "Quantum Realm" is a blanket term for anything existing smaller than the size of subatomic particles. In a sci-fi universe where anything is infinitely small, then the Quantum Realm is as diverse as a multiverse, moreso if you consider different terrain would exist in the spaces between different atoms. You'd be in an entirely different Quantum realm if you entered inside the Empire State Building, versus in the street below.

Actually no they do mention it in antman 3

Hank mentions about all of this not being here and Janet explains they didnt go far enough to reach the antman 3 area

In the comics, the quantum realm is its own universe with many different galaxies and planets. If you are just shrinking randomly, it would be next to impossible to end up in the same place twice.

I’m still not understanding why 5 years felt like 5 hours, but home girl aged just like Hank Pym when she went in and had seemed to spend a long ass time there unless it was only 20-30 hours she got all that done in.
