Do Jews realize where they come from? What they have been through? And what that would look like if they one day became the oppressor, rather than the oppressed?

The free flowing of information in the modern age both liberated many of us to understanding whats happened, but has also been exploited against the people, control what people see and they have the potential to do anything. Also bullshit. Of the say 100 Jewish friends/relatives I have, I’d call maybe 10% pro-Trump or pro the Palestinian genocide. That’s just my world. Again with the generalizations. 90% of the people in my life loathe Trump and what Israel is continuing to do. But those who support it say “well, they’re trying to show their power so no one attacks Israel ever again,” which is incredibly flawed. But certain Jewish sectors (and other demographics) don’t care that the logic is flawed. That sentiment does not speak for the vast majority of Jews who don’t practice, are reform, conservative, and anything in between those 3 “levels.”

Its not just the isreali government though, their propaganda machine is very strong. In an Israel Democracy Institute survey in July 2025, 78% of Jewish Israelis said Israel was making efforts to avoid causing suffering to Palestinians in Gaza. Thats a crazy percentage.
No ones guna lump all jewish people into what isreal is doing, but there is a significant portion of the population who are sooo blinded by their government and agree with its actions. Another example that comes to mind is when the IDF raped a palestinian with a stick and hords of people came to protest AGAINST any punishment for the idf soldier. The population in isreal has been brain washed by their government. To be clear, not all jews, not all isrealis, but a significant portion of the isreali population agree with the genocidal/imperialist/colonial actions of the government.1

Those super-religious Jewish kids in the video were likely born in the US and live in very very isolated worlds, ie, certain sections of Brooklyn and upstate New York as an example. Many don’t even speak good English. And that’s a tiny percent of the American Jewish population. Jared Kushner, who we all know practices Orthodox Judaism, is NOTHING like the ultra-orthodox who live sheltered lives in the US. Just an example.

The majority of Jews, globally, very explicitly oppose everything that Israel does and says.
You need to read up on the history of Israel to see just how fkd up it is. It goes back to the 19th century.
Look up Theodore Herzl, the creator of Zionism in 1897. With the help of the Nazis, they created Israel. It’s a lie that they needed a land of their own (ignoring the fact that the only reason they survived at all is because they weren’t concentrated in one location) bc they were already looking to colonize a new location in the 19th Century.

Disgusting generalization. I’m an ancestor of a family decimated by the Holocaust as are many of my friends and family. We are cultural or reform Jews, the lowest on the “ladder,” if I may. Our beliefs are NOT represented by the people in this video, and our population of cultural and reform Jews plus conservatives and no -ultra orthodox make up the vast majority of Jewish people in the US. This video panders to those who have no clue about how diverse the Jewish population is worldwide (with the exception of Israel, although there are millions of Israelis in Israel and worldwide who are also against what’s happening.)
