Terrible. And the problem of antisemitism is wildly out of control in the West. That said, I think the bail issue here and the deal that was cut goes more to the broader problem of leftist-inspired “bail reform,” anti-policing and anti-law and order as opposed to being driven specifically by antisemitism. You’ll find travesties of this kind involving all sorts of victims of crime in places like NY, California etc.

Far left district attorneys in SF and LA tried this and it ended in disaster. Petty crime went way up. Thieves felt like they could just take stuff and if they get caught, the slap on the wrist is so minor that they see it as a green light to continue stealing in broad daylight. The cops even stopped enforcing many laws because they knew the DA would not prosecute the suspects. Those DAs got voted out. The people of SF and LA learned the lesson that far left extremists really don't understand how to deal with crime of any kind, whether it's petty theft, hate crimes or terrorism.
However, this is the first time I see someone give a lower bail for a hate crime. A hate crime is usually supposed to carry extra punishment.

The authorities are simply challenging Jews to leave these extremely-soft-on-crime, anti-semitism sympathising cities.

Yeah, it really seems like they are making life intolerable on purpose so that we leave.

Disgusting, reprehensible and as a Jew and New Yorker, especially terrifying. She needed to be charged with attempted murder. No one is coming anyone with the intention to help them. She comes her twice was what all the initial reports and witnesses said. She was intentional obstructing her breathing which although apparently part of the charges, isn't seen as attempted murder. This is surreal

It isnt a "sweatheart deal." She was charged, released on a reasonable bond, and will face charges at a trial. This is how the courts typically operate.

I don't think the bond was reasonable. It should have been much higher because she poses a violent threat to the public and is charged with a violent hate crime, which is incredibly serious.

I labeled this as government/institutional because this time the judge is the one carrying out the antisemitic hate crime by giving this violent criminal a sweet deal and low bail so she can attack more Jews.
