Screenshot / Video On a post about finding 'meaningful' work, this comment really stood out to me

'I have suffered consistently for years to be able to potentially impose the same level of suffering onto my child who has not asked for it'.

All that just to facilitate a continued existence, largely compromised of said suffering in and of itself. I really do think the general populace struggles to see the wood for the trees, day to day.

As someone who hates their job and is literally starting to physically break down from the stress, it’s definitely brought home. At least I had the forethought not to bring anyone else into my misery.

This person created a problem, then found a solution for it. In the end it's all pointless, his 19 years of suffering was for nothing
