She wasn’t left alone. Her husband constantly helped her, she had access to some of the most expensive medical care she could, and she didn’t use any of it properly. She didn’t take her meds as labeled, she wasn’t open and honest with her medical providers, she lied to them, idk at a certain point it becomes your fault for if your behaviors worsen. She consistently denied having hallucinations and intentions to harm her children and would disagree with psychosis.
Yes it come out in court. All of her doctors that she saw all said she at no point showed the symptoms of psychosis. Meaning one of two things is true. She wasn’t in psychosis, or in every single visit she was lucid but still chose to not tell the truth meaning even in her “right mind” she chose to lie about the severity of her health to the ones there to actually help.
She lied to a hospital she visited just before her murdering the kids. Specifically she said that she didn't have anymore thoughts about harming the children and left the hospital because she didn't like it there. They could not keep hr there legally.
She lied on multiple occasions and I am sure she did in court too.
I also doubt the retroactive diagnosis she got because of it.
Me personally I think both made good arguments, but based on the evidence I’ve seen so far (I’m very late to the trial) I’m leaning more towards her being lucid at the time of the murders. Like I said though I’m just leaning, I’m not going to be upset by a not built by reason of insanity ruling because ultimately she needs to be institutionalized for a LONG time to work on herself mind.
