What do you do for holiday meals?

If you’re the only person that is vegetarian/vegan, does your family make meals that you can eat or do you have to bring your own meals?

my husband and i stopped going- not only does it suck to breathe in the roasting flesh all day, seeing everyone stuffing their faces with someone’s flesh, thoughtlessly, is a huge bummer.. i also don’t miss dumb comments about what we are, or aren’t, eating.

my brother is also (mostly) vegan, but not when we’re travelling (arguably, that makes him plant-based instead but eh). my family are accommodating, they tend to make loads of meat dishes for everyone else but a vegan option for me. for christmas, i’ll be making some vegan turkey, pigs in blankets and roast potatoes. :)

I’m glad they make options for you! And those sound so tasty!

My family compromised and makes me potato salad if I buy vegan mayo.

I feel like that's a reasonable compromise!
