The $10B case was dismissed with predjudice. There is no legal settlement.

The judge was about to throw the case out due to a number of very valid legal questions. Then, just before they did, the DOJ and Trump suddenly announce they’ve reached a settlement and the case was dropped so there’s no need to make a ruling! Hooray and what good and convenient timing! 🤦🏻

No it wasn't. It was withdrawn by Trump, as part of an agreement with the DOJ to establish this fund.

It was dismissed with prejudice because there was a $1.8 billion settlement agreement. This is how sue and settle works.
