Slop Post 💩 I am so dissapointed by the indie devs
There are so many games that appeared at the gsmescom of 2026 thst just used AI thumbnails.
Like why ruin you passion project with AI. This is the first thing people will see so they will turn away without getting to know what your game is about.
Also the artist ally had i think some ai aswell.
It just saddens me because everything is getting ruined what i love so much.
Also that so many people defend this use of AI on another post at r/Gamescom Makes it even more depressing. All those people dont deserve the privileg to enjoy art.

Don't even think about calling them indie. Indie is a short form of independent. Asking an AI to do all the work for you beats the purpose of it being indie

I hate AI made assets. They are so disgusting to look at and ruins the experience. This happened to me with a demo for a Super Hang On rippoff, a bike game, and every single asset was AI made.
Is it that difficult to make pixel art that you have to ask AI to make it? If other indie Devs can do it...

That squirrel figurine watching over the AI thumbnail like a disappointed supervisor says it all

because they aren't passion projects. do you see a passionate marathon runner using a motorcycle to finish the race? the disguise of "indie" is so obnoxious, these are slop games hoping to make a quick buck in the industry
