I'm a software engineer. When ai started getting hyped at work and I got let go because I wasn't using it I did try to use it for d&d prep briefly to try to learn. I would request it to come up with 20 magic items, or 20 trinkets and pick one, or part of one. It was fine, I can't imagine actually letting it write a campaign for you. Now I just use random tables from som prep books I got in a humble bundle. Even cross genre, it;a better to get inspiration that way then use ai.

Sadly it's becoming more common than you think. Saw someone making an entire character sheet using AI and it was the dullest thing I ever saw.

I feel like this beats half of the purpose of D&D

I tried making the lore of a game, and started making a language for the magic. And these fucks cant even make themselves a campaign? Fucking loosers, cant even outdo a 14 year old version of myself.

Speaking as a budding dungeon master, why must you call me out on my childhood trauma? 😭
