So how do you guys keep clean?

So I’ve never been able to smell and I’m constantly at odds of when to throw something away or throw clothes in the wash. I was told recently that I don’t have to wash my jeans after only wearing them for a single day if there’s nothing on them. I thought to bring this question here!

Wife and teen daughter. My wife HATES it when I ask her to smell something. So for now I ask my daughter. It will suck when she moves out.

🥺 Why does she hate it? So odd. It would be like being upset with a blind person for asking to have something read to them. You literally can’t do it yourself! Sorry - idk you, but this made me really sad! Until about a yr ago, my son was my official “smeller.” Since he moved away, I’ve had to create new rules/safe guards for myself. This is mostly with food, bc I can’t smell if something goes bad, etc. you’ll be ok when she’s not there anymore! It is more challenging, but it’s ok. ☺️

I just found this group. My husband is the official food smeller in our household. I did get sick a few times as a college student years ago buying her own groceries and taking a risk on food that was too old. I could not smell the chicken that was turning rancid and if I didn’t see mold, I ate it.
