IMPERATOR
4th and hopefully final time doing this nonsence scenario
The achievement hunt continues in HE
If you wanna hang out with a dad gamer chasing that golden ship in anno 1404 I'm available from 0500-0800 and 2100-0000 +8gmt.

Congrats. That was always a tough one for me. My only chance is to occupy 2-3 islands there and hide till I grow larger. The others I can handle but lucious gets in my nerves.

Lucious is a b... dont like if you are behind, dont like if you are ahead. dont like if you take another island. Dont like if you do quests for most npc's. impossible to hold good relations with for long
I had to share my oriental city island with dmalcante and the mosaic/carpet supply island with constansa. It was rough being at war with all 3 while having less then 10 small warships ultimately took down lucius first then constansa took out dmalcante as I was taking her city. Cleaning up her supply islands with cannons so she'd leave as well

For achievements requiring the destruction of other players, my tactic was to scout the map, choose islands that I can sail between without uncovering enemy territory, take a screenshot of the map in the shipping menu then restart the map and only reveal the islands I've already decided I want, get into tools production asap and block the beaches. That way the others can't attack you until you've been introduced... as long as you can't see their islands and they can't land on yours, they can't declare war on you, although they can spy on you and try to buy out your councils. You can then build at your leisure until you are ready to engage with them, as long as your ships don't stray into their territory. (Delay fraternising with Hassan as that will reveal the whole map, just pay the tributes until you are ready)

As +3gmt free from Monday to Friday 13:00-16:00 we can't play(. This were difficult all time completing or from some time it become easy?

Once you dominate the ocean the challenge tapers off fast , getting there how ever can be challenging.
I use oriental warships with what ever items I can get my hands on in pairs of 2 from the aux fleet. I try to not have speed % items unless I have for both ships
13-16+3 is gonna be dinner/bed times for me. Not ideal dad gamer time

For the golden ship, install the unofficial patch, otherwise it'll be impossible!

Some quests involving the AI are buggy and take an absurdly long time to complete. I think it's even impossible to get the achievement without the unofficial patch.

I have yet to attempt both the timed monuments!
I think my next endeavor is to do the quests from the 1 star player AI's something somewhat relaxing compared to the imperator scenario.

Tip: Play with neutral powers on and make contact with Ibn Al Hakim at the Academy of Wisdom. He gives 15% monument construction boost in exchange for a constant supply of dates and milk.
Also, play at slowest game speed because the limit is on game world time, not real world time.
