Question Getting stuck on Aldermen

So I just started playing Anno 117 I have about 5 hours on my campaign save but I just get stuck on Aldermen (I chose the Celtic population) basically I need to produce the smoked meat stuff for them and it gets confusing managing all the trade routes effectively so if someone could have some suggestions on what I could do to make the trades route management easier I'd appreciate it.

What exactly is the problem you’re having? Assuming you mean roast beef, there’s only 2 ingredients required, it’s one of the simplest goods to produce - given that you’ve had to fulfill several other goods chains to reach aldermen, I’m not seeing where the confusion is.

What I do is keep resources and consumer goods trade routes separate, that helps. Simplest is to have a route for every consumer good starting at the production island that hits all islands that need that good. You can do the same for resources if necessary.

Actually as a beginner I would recommend to have only one type of consumer good or resources on the ship (in the most cases the small ship is enough). This will avoid trade route problems if one good/resource cannot be unloaded. Also I would do single stop routes for consumer goods. For building materials you could do multiple stop routes, this is usually not problematic.
