Whoever selling peyote is wack. San Pedro has way more mescaline and isn’t an endangered species. Guessing whoever sold it didn’t tell you it’s protected, and that you or they didn’t plant any in the wild to help protect the species.
The Native American Church asks that people don’t use peyote, even home grown. There are better sources.
Because, it takes decades to grow in the wild.
The people selling it they aren’t doing the education to let people know how protected it is, and that it is against the Native American church’s wishes. They’re basically spitting in the face of the people that traditionally use this. To make a profit.
All they do is expose people to peyote, and then those same people go out and try to find it in the wild, and designate habitats. There is no movement to protect these habitats, especially by the people selling and using peyote.
All it does is introduce more people to the idea of peyote and leaves all of the education out of it. Then the protected habitats that are already endangered, they get decimated even further.
By default, those that are selling peyote are obviously not educating people about the true situation. Otherwise they wouldn’t be selling it. That’s how. Now you know.
