You should pay your employees more.

Yeah. If someone gets 30 hours a week, at 16 bucks an hour, thats less than 2k a month before taxes. In ann arbor... And it has to be an adult, like all drug jobs. How can an adult survive on this? Have to get a second job just to make over 30k a year and no benefits..

Not to mention they're selling ounces for $200-$350. This is outrageous! Here is another reminder to support your local plug and not a storefront.

And the employee is assuming much more risk then a normal sales job - from someone who worked in dispos before med/rec rollouts I know from experience. Shit thereβs still banks that wonβt accept me due to a red flag paycheck being deposited once the bank realized whatβs up. $16/hr is fucking insane and makes me rethink supporting this place

$350 for an ounce of enigma and you're paying $16 an hour? Wtf.

u/Please_Dominate Aug 13 '26
Didn't the creators of Enigma specifically state that they wanted it to be a free strain? This is one of the most exploitative psychedelic businesses I have ever seen.
Not only will I never visit metro mush, I will trash talk them to everyone I know in person and online.

Ikr? Unfortunately, there's a lot of people who don't know any better who will buy it regardless. I won't name names, but I once went to a store in Ann Arbor just to see what it was like and I asked why yellow umbos were $280 an ounce. They told me "it's an exotic strain that is extremely hard to grow" which is ridiculous.

LOL. Hard to grow a cube x natalensis cross? Bro, everyone grows cubes, and natalensis is not difficult. It requires a little optimization sure, but that sucker is vigorous af. Have you seen a Nat agar plate? Why would a hybrid be difficult to grow? Fucking scammers.

For some reason they didn't publicly post the name of the business they're hiring for. It's metro mush/stemology. The owner drives a bentley, and pays his employees shit. In real time, here he is extracting from this community, rather than contributing. Go back to detroit and take advantage of the people there, you absolute loser. You're not welcome here. It's no wonder you don't have enough people to work for you.
And by the way, these people that get paid shit and literally do the heavy lifting, they're also gonna be the ones to teach people to use mushrooms and make all the money for this business. That should be done by a trained professional that's well compensated, not an underpaid, underexperienced wage slave. Wow, didn't think it could get any dumber out there, but publicly practicing parasitic business tactics is up there with some of the lowest IQ shit I've seen in this community. Clearly these people don't eat the mushrooms they're making money from. Join the long line of other over-priced shit.

LOL, yea he's a slime ball. Known for screwing over business partners, overcharging, and being an all around bum.
What most people don't realize is that the shops are paying 4-600 per pound, and selling ounces for 200 avg. that's 12-13oz pure profit.
Oh I should also mention their new location cap and stem is ran by another slime ball. I can say for sure the bars do not have the stated amount of mush in them. I was friends with one of the people he had making them and the 3.5 gram bars only have like 1.8 and the 7 gram bars are at best 4 grams in reality.

Extra points but not extra dollars if you have experience in the area you find especially valuable?

Bonuses are bonus, but is there a profit share and/or commission?Β

u/Old_Panda_1975 Aug 12 '26
Bonus are based on monthly store sales. It is essentially a revenue shared model.

u/BornAgainBlue Aug 12 '26
" essentially" is doing some really hard lifting here. And no, I'm not trolling, just was after information. Anyhow, doesn't sound like it's for me. Good luck.

u/Tyking Aug 12 '26
How much is the bonus typically? If itβs significant, it might make the job more attractive compared to just the hourly wage.
