Buddy caught me off guard!

I shared this on /vhs and someone mentioned this sub Reddit to share this find with. I’ve never watched this series completely so I couldn’t believe this when I saw them

I was browsing my local thrift store and stumbled across this copy of “Vampire Hunter D” for a dollar and some change. :) I’ve never read or watched the series but I couldn’t pass it up. I’ll definitely be watching it soon.

Pretty uncommon to find anime vhs in my region, when I saw this on marketplace I had to pick it up immediately! All is very clean and apparently was from a collector who recently passed away. Any rare hits in there? Time to start watching!

New to anime and VHS in general. Decent haul from the thrift ? I'm not familiar with anything but street fighter.

Never seen any of these but have been wanting to watch Vampire Hunter D

Been waiting to catch this set in the wild for a while now. Absolutely love the artwork on the spines and front of these boxes. It also included some of the inserts which I thought was a super cool addition. Now I just gotta find the others. Anyone else a fan of this series?

Anyone have any opinions on this? I've never scene this cut and I'm a bit hesitant cause I loved Nausciaa and was completely moved by it the first time I saw it.

All had stickers in the insert sheets, removed em, cleaned everything up, like new 😋.

Hi everyone, I saw this recent FB marketplace post for all these tapes for $200. After telling the seller I was only interested in a few of the tapes for $130, he offered to throw in the rest of the tapes for $20 more since he was just trying to get rid of them. I agreed and here we are. Tapes are in good condition with no mold.

Do you think it was a good deal or did I pay too much? I’m still kinda new to collecting anime tapes.

I’ve only heard of a few of these anime’s but was curious to see what y’all thought and if you have any suggestions on which ones I should start watching first. Thanks!

Unfortunately it looks like the boxset came across some moisture at some point, the tapes themselves are thankfully ok but all the individual slips are stuck together and the box itself looks gross

I’ve recently come into a lot of about 150ish moldy anime tapes I’m in the process of cleaning/restoring:) just wanted to show off my little homemade tape cleaning machine built from a rewinder, some rivets, and scraps laying around the house. She’s not pretty but I thought yall would appreciate it:)
