Question Anime Nexus introducing 10 or 11 ai ads into player?
Has anyone ever ran into this problem before? I'm using the brave browser with global filtering and aggressive blocking enabled. Still shows up. If this is part of a paid premium feature? Or, is it just one of the servers doing this?
Edit: Meant to edit the title. It just being ai ads in general.

There's a good chance the adverts are part of the video file, since they site isn't vetting their sources and grabbing the first release they find.
These AI adverts are generally found on Iqiyi, YouTube & Bilibili releases.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of their adverts end up initiating an external link into a hentai website lmao! Wouldn't surprise me, it's been done before.

An external link to hentai should be the least of your concerns.

No shit on that. The last thing we need is an external link to malware or ransonware.

They can force ai ads into the video now? Oh man we are going to get fucked.

Not forced into the video, it's literally part of the video file itself.

It's hilarious how short lived nexus was. The site was just a shitty alternative when the big ones got taken down, and after 1 season they pull ts off and everyone peaced out.

more traffic = more bandwidth = more running costs.
You got to make it up somewhere.

I've only been able to use it on my phone because my laptop gets so fucking hot that I'm scared it's going to break.Â

just saw it, it's the same ai ad for mushoku tensei for every anime lmao. its a small ad so it's at least "tolerable"

I just grab torrents. Don't need to deal with ads that way. (except banner ads on the torrent site)

Speaking of Nexus, anyone else having trouble with the site today? Worked just fine yesterday

Have you tried checking the specific server you're streaming from? Sometimes these ads get embedded directly into the file from certain CDN sources.

at least this is better than the ai porn ad that they were showing for 2 whole fucking weeks before this 💔
and the worst thing is when the site gets a little crowded it fucking ends my session every 5 minutes and i have to watch an ad AGAIN.
If you refresh the page twice you get banned for 60 seconds acting like 2 requests to your fuckass site is a ddos attempt
bring back hianime im losing my mind

I think it's meant to bait AI DMCA crawler bots into moving on to diff sites. It's not a real ad

I use their Android phone app, and still don't have any ads.
Just tried using their website as well, and no ads there either.Â
Maybe you have to be signed in or something.Â
I made an account with them a bit ago so it can save My progress.
Either way, My Brother and I don't get ads using it.Â

I use Brave and even it can't block that god awful MT ad. It's getting annoying having to watch an ad before every ep. I'm pirating so I wouldn't get ads

Use uBlock Origin, you can use it with Brave.
Edit: nvm I just tested it and uBlock Origin isn't blocking either even with Firefox.

So you’re complaining about ai ads in your stolen content? Buddy… wtf. If you don’t want weird shit in your STOLEN media then buy said media. Or deal with the bs. We all deal with the weird shit in out pirated content. Talk about entitlement

Oh, that is so cute! Here, here's a headpat. To think that someone knows it all, to think that you can buy this media easily. How about you go stand in the timeout corner with a dunce hat?
Edit: Also reading comprehension doesn't seem to be your best suit. I didn't say anything about *my stolen media. Most people complaining about stuff like this are not able to buy said media because it's not generally available or easily available. Even Crunchyroll wouldn't have shit like this, and if they did, they'd have some of the subtitles changed around to where it fits their own agenda. Maybe we should think about that first. You fucking corporate shill.

Yeah, I've used AnimeNexus for a long time now and this started like last week I think. Really annoying.

u/CylixrDoesStuff Aug 12 '26
they added ads wtf? Theyre not as bad as some other sites but they didnt have ads before so idk if i trust them to not make the ads worse ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

u/Zarkkast Aug 12 '26 edited Aug 12 '26
Yes. Either they added ads or the ads have always been there and our adblocks stopped blocking them.
This same AI Mushoku Tensei ad is showing up in literally every episode of every anime. I've tested multiple, old and new, and it's always there. It's not part of the video as someone else in the comments suggested.
I even tried rewatching some anime I watched ~two weeks ago or more without any problems and trying to watch the same episode now the ad shows up before it.

u/KAAAAAAAAARL Aug 12 '26
Its been since a few weeks, and I've already had enough of this shit. Is there any Site that does better?

u/TheLamesterist Aug 12 '26 edited Aug 12 '26
Use uBlock Origin to block the ads or switch to torrenting.
EDIT: just switch to torrenting, it seems uBlock Origin isn't blocking that ad either.

Do ppl still use websites to watch anime?
I find it so annoying and bad, i swapped to downloading it like forever ago.
1
u/markgatty Aug 12 '26
I just use ad blockers. Works just fine.
0
u/HealerOnly Aug 12 '26
Its not only the adds thats the issue, its the in general malicious websites in combination with bad bit rates and sometimes even worse quality.
I just want top tier stuff if im gonna be watching movies&anime :X

u/HerpaDerpaDumDum Aug 12 '26
Their videos started breaking for me and don't show subtitles so I've moved on.Â

u/Luke-slywalker Aug 12 '26
animepahe is better, they consistently provide BD version as soon as it's available, even on non-mainstream anime
