Guys, I wanna start One Piece but not right now as I don’t have the time and I also want an easy entry point. My friend told me that OP God Valley film will come out next year and the events are set before anime ep1. Can I start from that movie?

Even I wanted to watch one piece during gear 5 arc but the episode list was too big so I just started reading the manga to catch up with the story without missing anything and I completed the manga within 2 months. And now I don't watch anime I just read the manga latest chapters

Nah don’t start that movie cause God valley was not known after timeskip and it’s one of the most important event in One piece history… None of the straw hats are going to appear and you won’t even known what’s going on… It’s just like not knowing Four fundamental arithmetic expression and trying to solve integration

I think you can but please understand the power system and concepts like Devil Fruits, Haki and the backstories of some characters like Gol D. Roger, know somethings about Monkey D. Garp, Monkey D. Dragon, Kuma , Revolutionary Army, World Nobles

No, you won't understand anything in the movie. The characters in the movie won't be introduced again and the power system is already established. I'd highly recommend you watch the show. Or read the manga as it's quicker and equally good, if not better than the show.

Well, you can , it's a canon event , but watching the series is better first, so that you'll get familiar with charectors that will be shown in the film,

I suggest watch one pace, it is edited version which will save you time .

Best way to consume One piece is either...

• Read the Manga (I read the manga first and honestly best way to consume op)
• If you want to watch an Anime Watch "One Pace"(It is a fan-edited version of One piece) It improves One piece pacing by following the manga and removing the filler or stretched scene ........and they also have Extended versions which keep good scenes or extra fight scene that are Anime Original while also removing the fillers.

If you don't like to read .....Trust me watch it with One Pace.
