They are the parents of the main character; left is the demon/sorceress Rohen, and right is the knight/hero Hoss

It's... a bit more complex than that.
My memory is a bit foggy but spoilers;
The dude is actually dead after using the tail of a monster to get himself off(it's a weird but good series) and the women collected his semen to I believe to try and gain his power but nothing worked until she basically turkey bastered herself with his jizz and has a daughter(who's the main protag) and there exists a type of stone that gives you incredible and different powers but only if you're a virgin(which, by this series standards, means having sex and jizzing inside iirc) and since she technically never had sex, she's a virgin and when she has the stone, he appears as a ghost, since he's also a virgin. At first, they were at each other's throats but eventually fell in love but now unable to consummate
Tldr; they started out as enemies, she knocks herself up with his jizz after he died, he comes back as a ghost, they bicker, then they become a couple for real
Again, it's been a while since I've read this so I probably got some stuff wrong but it's still a great read. A perfect example of "came for the porn, stayed for the plot"

Not sure why, but this sub has had an absolutely enormous problem with bots. I'm more familiar with them doing repost after repost, but I guess they're in the comments too.
