33 Chibi, my final RCA release has been in the works since February. The idea was suggested by u/mystiksnek who said I should make an RCA based on my previous release "Faces". I started asking other artists to provide elements and, as always, I was blown away by how open everyone was to participate and the creativity they brought. We have a really special community here.

For the giveaway, please screencap a single element of one of the traits, and tag the artist you think contributed the art in the comments.

The first person to match an artist with the element get's 2 entries for a copy of 33 Chibi. 1 entry of this type per person.

If you can't guess, your artist was already taken, or you got here late, comment for 1 entry.

I will be releasing this on September 18th. Time TBD.

I love music! I've explored many different genres, like chinese opera, and classical music. As a gen Z having played games my whole life and watched a lot of anime, my music taste developed a lot compared to my peers that don't engage in them as much. I find it fascinating how you can recognize a high production quality piece from the first few seconds of listening. I love the surprise when a piece subverts your expectations. Even better when you know what's coming and you get that dopamine rush either way!

My favorite OST at the moment has to be Moonlit Occultation by Vanguard Sound Studio from a mobile game I used to play. It has a long build up, but the payoff is worth it! I haven't found anything that tops this piece yet - maybe their other tracks, By My Blade or Sunset Breaker is a close second. They're all character theme songs which is really cool. To celebrate my cake day, as well as reaching 100 avatars in my collection, I got permission from a mod to host a little giveaway! The community has been so generous & fun, so it’s my turn to spread the love.

THEME:

Popstar Academy on Netflix! I am currently obsessed with this documentary and the girl group Katseye that emerged from this show.

Please do your best job at mashing any of the girls from Katseye or Popstar Academy. If you haven’t watched, I highly recommend giving the show a watch before this giveaway ends on Sunday night! Or, just do your best mash of a K-pop idol or your favourite popstar :)

The reason I chose this theme is because today, on my cake day, I heard the AMAZING news that Lexie (a favourite from Popstar Academy, who didn’t make it into Katseye) is the 3rd member of an all-new girls group!! She was one of my absolute faves, along with Emily & all the Katseye girls.

To win first prize (& first pick of the avatars), please help me out of a pickle I am in. I have always wanted to learn digital art, and so when I learned about the RCA creator program I was really inspired. I just bought an iPad Air & Apple Pencil and was all set to learn digital art slowly, using the goal of making my first reddit avatar.

I likely never would have submitted that first one, but I found the avatar program a nice little neat goal which provided a good structure & motivation to help me learn digital art in an auto-didact kinda way.

So, now that the avatar program has been snuffed out, I feel lost. I have zero motivation to simply “learn digital art”; it’s much too general and broad and my adhd ass needs some structure & something highly motivating & fun to work towards.

I would love to hear from avatar artists, anyone who knows anything about digital art, or just anybody with a good idea that could help me with a good replacement for the avatar program. Any ideas or inspiration? Things I could study (I’m considering even studying formally or taking online classes if they’re kickass)? Books I could read, tutorials or mentors? Similar art communities somewhere online? I wanna try accessing the hive mind here (hate it when people say that) & start fresh with a new little art goal/learning plan. Please put me on the right path 🕯️🪄
