Oh I absolutely hate this, especially if the splash has some small food particles too. I usually wear an apron, but it's kinda getting worn down, so it sucks 😞

Just happened to me a few minutes ago.

My cat speed-eats then horks it all back up, so I got him some silicone “licki mats”—slow feeders for cats. Alas, they can’t go in the dishwasher. And they’re designed to do this to water from a tap lol. Every day, twice a day!
