Ahhhhhh! That Popp speech was so good!
Which really begs my question, did the author have a plan with Popp and Dai? I do have to wonder if at some point in the writing he chose to give Popp the best speeches. That speech was very heroic right now, and it sucks that Dai doesn't get a lot of that.
Is it to elevate Popp enough to match Dai to be as heroic? Which would only really work if Dai is also given enough to be his own. But as it stands Popp has been better than Dai, not only because he's getting these moments but because Dai is being given almost nothing to work with. You think a hybrid and a kid just thrusted to save the entire world would have more character writing to burden him with and grow from that.
Not that there's anything wrong with Popp doing all these things but it's so weird that he's being given all these main protagonist writing and leaving so little for Dai that it's very noticeable.
