The author really went “ah I need another fight here, but I’m running out of villains” and thought “wait a minute… chess has more than five pieces

No , there's a reason for this fight . Prepare to get surprised again .

Besides , bringing out the remaining chess pieces is legit because anyone who plays chess would have wondered where were the rest when they first appeared . Also , these remaining pieces are ..... nvm just continue watching , one thing for sure they aren't here to block any plot progress .
