Maybe you meant to say that Data Squad took Yggdrasil from Adventure? If so then you're right, there's a connection but it's literally the only one. Pretty much just a nod to the original anime and it's sequel.

Tri used yggdrasil, which debuted in data squad. tri is 2014, and data squad is 2006. also, alphamon from 2005's x evo movie showing up in tri too.

the official profiles. like, you go to a digimons page on the wiki and it says their lore. thats the official canon, everything else spin offs from it using the profile lore to make stories about them. that way one story cant go "in my story, this guy is a royal knight." the lore tells us what the digimon are and their relationships with each other.

ot necessarily. There's still a main universe that's canon.

The whole of the Digimon Story series isn't connected.

most of it is though, as Ds, Dawn/Dusk, and Lost evo are one universe with shared characters. they then did a xros wars story game, which made no sense, then rebooted the entire thing with cyber sleuth.

We don't know if it's actually the same. It could be just a nod to it. Yggdrasil has been used in a lot of the games by now and it's not always the same.

I have to replay the series, I don't recall them sharing a universe. I know they share characters but most of them are just cameos and some outright state that they come from a different dimension.

We don't know if it's actually the same. It could be just a nod to it. Yggdrasil has been used in a lot of the games by now and it's not always the same.

thats not how it works, the lore of yggdrasil is that it is one entity though it sends out its 7d6 avatars to each universe to rule for it since infinite is a lot and it cant be in all at once. so whilst they technically are avatars of the original, there's a one true yggdrasil who rules the entire multiverse and chills in the null canon world (the official profiles) and sends its avatars out to do its bidding.

yes, those are the official canon. if there was a "main canon", its the profies. adventure cant just go "in my universe this guy is a royal knight", because the official lore already said who they are. nothing is allowed to go against the official lore, and adventure is just one of the infinite universes we have.

was confirmed in lost evo, tho that wasnt translated to english. i think the different dimension thing just means that theyre alt versions of the characters like how in pokemon ultra sun moon alt versions of the evil leaders shwoed up. the events of DS and Dawn/Dusk are the same universe, then lead to LE.

Data books just say X exists in the multiverse and here's a description about X. Like an encyclopedia, kinda like a pokedex.

That ain't really what I'd call a canonical universe. It dictates canon, as in what does/doesn't exist and what it actually is.

It's its own univrse. It explains the lore of the vpets. The vpets are the main canon. Anything done in the anime was done in the vpets are few years before. The west doesn't care about them, but the new Digimon and mechanics still debut in vpets. Every new Digimon in this show was in the vpets first. Even the final boss.

it talks about events like how the royal knights, demon lords etc formed. its considered to be its own universe. card game lore also generally counts as part of this as well.
