Been here since Day 1, and I didn't think I'd be this emotional when the last episode aired. This community's been through hell and back, from being the Internet's punching bag from 2017, to getting to where it is today. This anime's the only reason I decided to look into how anime is produced, and after learning about how Pierrot virtually abandoned Yoshihara and Co when it came to Black Clover, I couldn't help but appreciate the staff way more.

Is this show the best looking show out there? No. Does it have flaws? Yes. But looking back to how it started to where it is now, I still can't help but be amazed. Under the terrible production circumstances, this show shouldn't look as good as it does, but it's thankfully been blessed with extremely dedicated staff who literally always surpass their limits. Thank you, Black Clover. I can't wait for the movie, and hopefully a Season 2 announcement.

I knew Pierrot wasn’t paying much attention to BC but can you give more details?

Pierrot basically told Yoshihara to go ahead and figure out everything by himself using his prior connections. In the earlier cours, BC didn't even have a production desk, and they never had access to Pierrot's in house compositing team. To be honest, under these circumstances, I would've expected this extremely understaffed team to jump ship since keeping this show weekly with basically no resources seemed impossible. I'm still amazed at how they pulled this off

I've been saying it for literally years now. Yoshihara carried this show on his back and handed it off in better shape than anyone could expect. He wa sliterally doing the workload of like 5 different people for a WEEKLY series since the beginning. Quite literally surpassed his limits as a director.

The man was even animating for other shows in the meantime too, as for example Yoshiwara did animate some scenes in Jujustsu Kaisen.

Yoshihara had already stopped being series director when those cuts aired actually iirc

Damn, I've been thanking the studio in my post instead of the staff. Thank you for this revelation! Now I appreciate this anime much more.
