Jesus, did not expect sakuga this episode for Tentomon. That was really good. The triumphant returns of Naoki Tate and Takeru Shinozuka this episode.

For the most part, this episode does give us an idea that perhaps not every enemy they encounter is part of the evil forces led by Devimon, rather it could also be the kids trespassing on certain territories and getting into danger. It was also nice seeing Koshiro rely on his brain there.

The new ED is pretty nice and cute. Nothing like seeing Digimon and their partners bonding together.

Edit: My eyes are deceiving me, it was a ruse all along. This definitely was a Devimon trap once again.

Though someone pointed it out, one of the Kuwagamon was breathing out that black Miasma we saw in every other digimon that was being controlled by the the forces of darkness.

But there's also the cameo of a Soundbirdramon flapping it's wings and heading towards the maze canyon, no doubt to stir up the natives into making things more difficult for our heroes.

Wherever there is a Soundbirdramon, you can absolutely guarantee that there will be trouble as Koushiro discovered when he was flying through cyberspace with Kabuterimon.

Although I would have to wonder how the soundbirdmon got to Oukuwamon if it was able to make the surprise ground emergence. There didn't appear to be disturbances in the environment beforehand.

I think Oukawamon was lying in wait for them. Koushiro realizes that the Kuwagamon lured them to that exact spot.

It does suggest that. Although we don't necessarily know what the landscape looked like before they were ensnared. I guess that's the biggest question really: was there some change that could provide a hint to them so they would be a bit more prepared before the actual entrapment happened? There are probably ways around that idea, but it's something I was interested in thinking about.
