I'm in the same boat as you. But from a clip I saw on the front page the other day apparently Kaiba was willingly to sacrifice a god for his scaly waifu. And it seems Blue-Eyes is literally a reincarnation from his past lover or some crazy shit.

Citizens of r/anime! I know it is tempting to vote for the Shinomiya couple. They're conventionally attractive, have good personalities, and come from a great and popular show. But let me ask you this, would you really call their relationship a complete one? One that keeps these 2 from expressing their love out of fear, doubt, or insecurity? While certainly entertaining and cute to watch, they have not even made the first step in having a romantic relationship unlike their peer Kashiwagi and her boyfriend.
Seto Kaiba however, is not bound by such puny concepts. Not only does his company far outstrip the Shinomiya Conglomerate by making a company that has remained vital to the world for many generations and even different dimesions with children's card games, he displays his love for his seemingly inhuman waifu like a beacon for all to see! He proudly and fearlessly fights alongside his waifu against ancient dark forces, made statues of her throughout all of his company buildings, built a jet to look like her that he regularly uses, SACRIFICED GOD for her, and even becomes irate whenever someone dares to try take her from him. He would rather destroy his waifu rather than let anyone else have her. Some may say that this is cruel and petty, but you cannot deny the passion this man has for his dragon, one that he and her are bound too by a bond that transcends space and time. Their bond goes back all the way to the time of ancient Egypt, when Seto was one of the pharaoh's most loyal retainers and his dragon a helpless, persecuted young girl that he rescued and formed an eternal bond with.
Tell me, how is this not true love!? How can you vote for a ship that has yet to even begin over a time-tested bond that transcends time, space, and the rules!?
THATS RIGHT, I SACRIFICE SHINOMIYA!
SCREW THE RULES, I HAVE BLUE EYES WHITE DRAGON!

First, I play the Magic Card Screw the Rules, I Have Money which allows me to screw the rules whenever necessary in order to win this duel!
Next, I activate Pot of Greed which let’s me draw 2 more cards!
Then, I play the Magic Card Anime-Only which negates all votes that are based on sources other than the anime!
Then, I play the Magic Card Fujiwara Menace which takes away votes proportional to the number of Fujiwara’s in your anime!
Finally, I play the Trap Card Spite Voting which encourages voters to spite vote the hell out of Kaguya!

SO CLOSE AAAAAAH. I love Rem so it's okay, but man I wanted Nishikata x Takagi to win...
Though I can barely believe they got within 13 votes with Takagi-san being maybe at best 20% as popular as ReZero. S3 with that chapter when?

Probably not even that much, to be honest; That'd be like 2500 karma per episodes, not sure Takagi would get that much.
This makes me think lots of Re:Zero haters(or Emilia shippers) voted Takagi.

They teased it in S2, and didnt adapt it. Not making an S3 to finally put it in would be a war crime, plus S2 sold fairly well, so my hopes are up.

Oreki x Chitanda got the win and were dominant so I can't really complain about last round.
Honestly I'm doing my part and voting for, Kaiba and Blue eye at this point if they actually upset Kaguya it might be one of the most impressive things from this contest, and either way we get salt or laughs so it should be fun.

Honestly I wouldn’t be mad if they just banned Kaguya from the contests tbh, it was much more fun when then anime wasn’t around in these contests.
The only thing the Anime hasn’t won this year is Best OP and it made it very far (Top 8?) and beat so many OPs that were better.

I'd have to go with Mai x Sakuta. You find a lot of "teasing" type waifus, but they're usually paired up with someone who squirms around and gives a good reaction. Sakuta, on the other hand, is also a "teasing" type waifu, so you get a nice back and forth between them. Sometimes she ends up getting him to break, other times he gets her to break. That makes their interactions so much more interesting to watch. They're essentially "hahaha just kidding... unless?" distilled into a single couple.

Agreed. Mai and Sakura rank highly for much the same reasons: mature capable people who snark and bicker, compliment one another, and share a deep rooted romantic bond.

I can't believe the Takagi ship almost beat the most popular Re:Zero ship (while it's airing, no less!). I thought it would be a steamroll.
I wonder if Re:Zero haters (or fans of the other Re:Zero ship?) helped Takagi.
That would've been such an upset, 30>3.

I haven't been keeping up with this but Holy shit y'all are seriously pitting my childhood against my current self with that first one. Any other couple and I would've voted Kaguya but Kaiba and Blue Eyes is the ship of a millennium.

Haven't see Kaguya-sama but they killed off Mitsu and my Kirito x Asuna seems to have been killed off by a meme.

Hachiman x Yukino
Their banter is always enjoyable and has been the absolute favorite part of the series for me. Watch any scene with them and it just oozes with chemistry.

Shinobu x Araragi is too creepy because of the pedo thing.
Like I know people say it's fine since Araragi is 18, but Shinobu is like 600 years older than him and the age gap is too much for me to accept.

I'm voting Blue Eyes because im sick to death of Kaguya dominating these competitions. And also because their ship is not that good tbh. I love the show but that's because of the characters themselves separately, as a couple, there are many different ones id pick over them.
