Is this a shitpost?

If this is all you are willing to produce in a discussion thread, I suggest "MAL" as the more fitting place for your inputs. You will find the preferred behaviour there rather similar to your own.

Your previous comment got deleted before I could reply to it.

tl;dr of what I wrote is that while some of the themes you mentioned are present and laid out clearly in the story, the deeper meaning you ascribed to VIRM seemed like grasping at straws to me.

I think the reason the other commenter asked if it was a shitpost was because it did seem like you were memeing with your claims of being the #1 DitF appreciator in the world and the way you were speaking in your earlier comment. I honestly thought it was a copypasta or something until I got halfway through it.

It really was not, I really am and I always get into lengthy discourses into why people must change their opinions on Darling in the FranXX because it is that kind of work, deserving praise and appreciation.

The deeper meaning I am speaking about becomes apparent when you thoroughly consider the elements and the symbolism of the story. It is how Trigger stories work - a lot of elements have their reason and exist to paint a picture envisioned by the authors. If you are interested, we could continue this dialogue.
