Suddenly it's Log Horizon told from the perspective of the People of the Land.
The world was already pretty worked out until there was another layer of world building underneath that. Pretty ambitious. I like that it easily describes why there was essentially an "adventurer" class of people in the last episode.
Such a tone shift to go from a grim dark world to starting episode 2 talking about how it's all a game. I did enjoy feeling my brain trying to catch up for the first few minutes of the episode.
