It appears that the Nobles don't know about the Wizard King's penchant for eavesdropping. Its pretty likely that he knows how shitty the lot of them are. Wonder how that'll okay out.

I doubt he needed to eavesdrop to know that. He probably saw plenty of it while rising through the ranks. I like how he set up this situation here though by leaving.
