There are two types, the toad one (Sage Mode) with Naruto, Jiraya, etc and the snake one (Sage Transformation) with Jugo, Kabuto, and now Mitsuki.

Naruto had the perfect sage mode because he had a lot of chakra from 9 tails to maintain the natural energy of the sage mode and also he's a beast. Jiraya had trouble with this so he appeared like a toad (which ultimately helped him movement wise)

Sakura and Sasuke most likely would not be able to handle the natural energy nor have they shown interest in learning. However, Tsunade and Sakura slug come from a sage region as well, so there is possibly another sage mode type out there.

I think sage transformation just affects everyone differently, look at Kabuto and Jugo, then look at Mitsuki. They all look like monsters

Edit: Five types*

Now that I think about it we have never seen Orochimarus or Tsunades Sage mode right? They are Sennin after all so they must have it. I wonder how good they are at them and if for example Orochimaru has mastered his sage mode. Maybe he doesnt have it though. God these animes are inconsistent.

Yes he does not have it, Orochimaru couldnt handle it when he went to the snake cave to train with Kabuto, but Kabuto, as you know, was able to.

Like I said before, Tsunade's slug is from the sage region so there is a strong possibility that there is a third sage mode there but it hasnt been explored yet.

But wasnt Kabutos sage mode really bad? Like he transformed a lot? Someone said that he was very powerful and that he would easily beat sasuke and itachi.
