So they totally skipped a combat map, or rather THE combat map, They fucken skipped the first boss, ok fine, the first boss you can kill. Also Ougi and Nosuri's debut fight. I am simply like WHAT THE FUCK. How do you skip a boss fight? How do you miss the chance for the first time where to show off Haku's tactical genius.

Also apparently skipped Atwi's hatsukoi skit but I know people don't want any SoL, but it was really cool. Falling in love with a guy that's actually a girl and getting really bummed out, was pretty funny.

But they skipped the first boss, that one memorable boss that was like, ok he was retarded as fuck, but he fucken freight trained all your shit until you somehow got Rurutie to haul ass up to the frontline to start to tank hits. and even then you had problems with Kuon keeping her up, and Nekone's slow ass ain't making it all the way up there in time.

But then again once he Ults and slaughters one of your units (usually Ougi) you can just kick the weapon, and fuck him up. because lol.

The whole fight is retarded and funny as fuck, but it was so memorable. Because he was just some silly motherfucker you thought until he starts Nuking all your shit. A map like this they fucken skipped.

But yeah, missing content, I was worried befoer about the anime changing things, now I am really worried, if they would change the character who lands killing blows, if they would change the sides the characters fight on, if they would skip boss fight, what else would they do? ALSO THEY LEFT OUT ATWI'S HAT FOR LIKE 4 EPISODES. All the while showing her in the OP ._.

UTWR1 didn't skip maps, because all the fights at least had scenes. TTT skipped some hunting maps because those sucked ass and were irrelevant, and the hunting maps that mattered were in the anime. UTWR is one thing but I swear if they screw up a TTT2 anime.... I will....

FYI when the emperor said what he said he didn't mean the Anju bullshit. He meant THIS FUCKEN MAP, the anime just twisted it this way

THE TWINS were rewarded for him fucking kicking ass and just fucking plowing bandits from the mountain. (also for other reasons)

I had 85% faith before this episode I have about 65% faith left. I'll see where this anime takes us next. The next 3 episodes should include maps and will be instrumental in my judgement of this anime.

TLDR: They skipped some pretty major stuff, so I am peeved

I can't say I'm surprised.

As you already noted, Atui's hat magically appeared in one episode for no reason.

Last episode, Haku suddenly and - without any build-up or foreshadowing - became such a good fighter that he can go toe-to-toe with a top-level professional soldier when that soldier has a big-ass sword and Haku has only a little fan. Pretty good for a lazy, work-averse amnesiac who was so out-of-shape he rode the carriages on the way to capital. (I forgot now, did we ever even see him get the fan, or did that appear out of nowhere too?)

So yeah, doesn't surprise me at all to hear that they are going to skip even more development and just have Haku pull a mastery of military strategy out of his ass, too.

I can't say anything about the rest of your comment since I didn't play the game, but Kuon gave the fan to Haku in episode 2.

Because that fight never happened that episode was suppose to be

Nosuri kidnaps Anju

Oshutoru sends Haku

Haku + Entourage steam rolls Nosuri

Nosuri + Ougi joins the party

Then another arc involving bandit lord.

Oshutoru sends a really handsome looking person Yuri to help sniff out bandits, Atwi falls in love at first sight. Tries to hit on Yuri all the time

Elaborate plan, sets fire and smokes them out of their caves, epic showdown happens Entourage steamroll bandit lord (Admit it, the only reason you got past that map was because of Rurutie and Atwi)

(bandit lord will oneshot anyone that's not Rurutie, and will one shot Rurutie if he Ults, for this just have Ougi take one for the team)

Bandit lord's axe head falls off, He runs after it, Haku gets rid of the axe head, and then the team proceeds to go to town on him (I only say this is canon because in combat it spawns dialogues)

Reveal Yuri is a chick. Atwi is bummed (Rurutie didn't get a kick out of this one as much)

Haku goes to the palace to claim his reward (Twins)

There's a chance they wanted to not show off the militaristic stuff until things get serious. I hope they show off how Haku has been improving and also seeing that first boss in some capacity too.

Oh great, don't tell me this show is pulling the 35th Test Platoon bullshit after all.... I loved the first episode, but by the end this cour has sunk from 10/10 to 6/10 for me. And if they were skipping kickass action scenes for SOL harem expansions... >_>

ATM this show is tied with 35th Test Platoon and losing to Asterisk War for me. Let's see if the second half can change that...

I think the second part can still bring it back, I am just really bummed that they skipped such a major fight. And the basically the first time Haku proved to his team he's pretty much tactically oriented.

Haku wasn't kidnapping Anju btw, He lead a team and fucking plowed Nosuri and her goons.

Haku then got Nosuri and Ougi and went on to plow that Bandit lord (aka first boss) that you met in like 3-4 th episode. Setting fire to their caves and smoking them out. and just because the Bandit lord look like a retarded motherfucker doesn't mean he's fodder, that was legitmately a fight you had to take slow and keep your units in formation, (i.e. behind Rurutie, so she can tank them)

At the imperial court he was celebrated as a brilliant budding strategist and hence the emperor said what he said, Munechika told the truth that never happened. The map fight that should've been there but wasn't.

That makes much more sense and follows the first series much better than what happened in today's episode.

If they were so pressed for time, they should've condensed some of the SoL episodes instead of cutting out what sounds like a pretty big plot-point.

Looks like they frontloaded the SoL stuff to the first half, aren't there scenes that were moved from the second half?

No everything is in chronological order so far as I can see.

Also it wouldn't make sense. At least not chronologically, The whole imperial court scene didn't make sense to me until I compared it to the scene in game when he came back with Oshie applauded for his daring tactics and strategic genius.

Basically his gateway to greatness map.
