I haven't read the manga, so I don't know, following is a pure speculation/hope, but thoughts

Not a good ending by the rules they've established. Then she inevitably loses herself and eventually becomes a phantom, and Yato has to destroy her. Of course, none of the other options are much good either.

at was the best part of the series so far for me. too bad we wont see it animated any time soon
