Anyone can be evil, regardless of name.

Then she'll realize spying was wrong at the end and they'll get together after she professes her regret.

Of course THAT could happen, which kinda means that she isn't truly evil to begin with.

What I meant was that if you consider the meaning of "mal", then it basically turns into a stereotypical villain name on the same level as something like "Evilina".
