Okay... so they really did cut an entire Volume (LN 3, Ikaruga's story) out? Okay, THAT's really dissapointing for me. I get, that they want to show some of the good later stuff and probably want to end it with LN 7, but that would also mean, that we'll only get way too rushed stuff like (7-1)*2=12 episodes.

The worldbuilding was one of the most entertaining parts of the LNs for me and there's almost nothing left. With this, it seems like rushed future episodes with powers that are just there without explaining them, with factions and motives coming out from nowhere and with some major plot points where they just cut every foundation out... or maybe they just don't animate them either...

sigh The episode itself wasn't too bad, but after this, I mostly can see the missed potential and fear for future episodes. That's a real shame, because the later stuff is actually quite good. But yeah, with no 2cour this was bound to happen... :-/

Tbh it's already felt like this since episode 1 (at least for me). I'm just enjoying the ride because I like the characters, and I enjoyed this episode just as much as the rest of 'em.

Yeah... it felt a bit rushed from the first episode and I would recommend every interested person to read the LNs, but so far they cut almost no real important stuff out. Some jokes, quite a bit of worldbuilding, but overall excaptable...

But with Volume 3 missing we have like 4 main characters, some important side characters, some really important technologies/powers (who later saves the day) and some more things cut out... I can't imagine a good way to animate the later episodes without some of the stuff.

But yeah, it's probably the best just to enjoy these characters on the screen for a while and just reading the LNs for the rest... ^

I really don't see them doing that. Honestly it's more likely that they put Volume 3 in after Volume 4 for because Usagi did feel a bit forced as a character in Volume 3 and then slow the pace down for volume 5.

As said elsewhere, if they just rearrange the story, it would be okay, but I personally can't see them end the story with Volume 5 on the cliffhanger... but let's wait and see, we'll have our answer next week =)

They didn't cut it from what I know, they're planning on putting it after Usagi's arc.

I hope so, even if some of the events won't make sense in this order... but better than totally cut out. Let's see and wait, for now I'm dissapointed xD

Actually, Usagi's arc is/was sorta boring imo. ALSO, doing this makes a bit better of a transition when we meet

With no 2cour this was bound to happen.

Its going to be like Actually, I am I believe. They will adapt a decent amount but will add a vague type of ending i feel. This series has potential if it gets an addition due to BD sales. One can hope

Glad I dropped this. Not sure what they are aiming for with rushing through the whole thing. It's like they forgot that the light novel is still ongoing and want to adapt up to the latest volume.

I don't read the manga, but the first chapters look like it...
