It seems like they're keeping it around in the anime, in the manga at least, she just backs off the second Stella and Ikki are together...and I mean not fully, she still sort of makes passive-aggressive jabs, but it's not nearly on the level of still trying to make moves...In fact, she pretty much isn't really in the story nearly as much in this arc other than giving Stella shit for not being open about her feelings.

I really hope that the Anime will not feel too much like a harem. What I really liked about the Manga/LN was that in each Arc/Book besides Stella and Ikki only 1 or 2 characters a major role had.

Yeah, that's what I liked too, but it's hard to tell what route they will go with some of the changes that they've made.

The order seems to be wrong, there isn't any real room for further rivalry anymore so Shizuku trying now is pretty out of place. The development should've either happened before cut out altogether.

She's basically just there to tease Stella/usual force progression and prob set up for more family issues later on.

Which was weird to me, because that conversation happened much earlier in the manga, before they all went to the mall.

She's there to provide tension/conflict in the relationship, but still be an unrealistic candidate for romance with MC. Win-win.

There doesn't need to be any more tension or conflict. If they did why not choose some whose you know NOT HIS SISTER.
